More than $10,000 in drugs hidden in gaming system

A 16-year-old boy who was crossing the border on foot at the DeConcini pedestrian port of entry attracted the attention of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) drug-detection dog.

A subsequent inspection found more than three pounds of methamphetamine hidden inside the Xbox gaming system that the young man was attempting to bring across the border.

The seized meth had a value in excess of $10,000.

CBP mentioned that the youth was a resident of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, however his nation of citizenship was not disclosed in the media release.
