Closes restaurant seating areas, bars, gyms
During a special session on March 21, 2020 the Nogales mayor and city council unanimously declared a state of emergency for the city due to the spreading COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Places where the coronavirus could spread due to close interpersonal contact are now closed in Nogales, Arizona. This includes gyms, movie theaters and dine-in restaurant areas.
Although their dining areas are closed, restaurants and other commercial food providers are permitted to provide take-out and delivery services.
The eat-in ban does not apply to hospital and nursing home cafeterias, or to dining halls where charities provide food to the needy.
