Deadly Attack Near Nogales International Border in Colonia Buenos Aires

Sonora newspaper El Imparcial reports that a 39-year-old Nogales man was slain in a hail of 10 bullets on June 16 near the Nogales international border in the Nogales, Mexico colonia Buenos Aires area.

The victim, identified only as “Guadalupe” in published reports, was gunned down on Sierra del Pinito Street at approximately 8:00 p.m.

According to El Imparcial, after the shooting a woman drove Guadalupe from the scene to take him to the hospital, as she was driving she soon encountered a Red Cross ambulance on nearby Calle Arroyo Buenos Aires.

By the time Red Cross paramedics were able to examine the man’s condition, they found that he was deceased.

The scene of the homicide was cordoned off by Nogales Municipal Police to allow gathering of evidence by representatives of Semefo (Forensic Medical Services) and AMIC, the Ministerial Agency of Criminal Investigation.
